Reflection: The way my wardobe is structured, and built is ultimately what helps me make my decision when I getting dressed on an everyday basis. As my wardrobe is one with sliding doors, I am not able to see all my clothes sin one glance. This visibly tricks my eye, and reduces my wardrobe into what is described as a capsule wardrobe (see images below for all the outfits I wore this week). This observation reigns true with Sophie Woodward’s take on what the woman’s closet represents in Why Women Wear What They Wear where she states that “The wardrobe reflects and is clearly part of her general sense of order in life; yet, more than this, ordering her clothes helps her get it right when she selects outfits.” Indeed, having my closet put in order the way that it is helps me get past the struggle of taking 30-45 minutes to get dressed which was a challenge that I faced when I was in Singapore.
