Field Sales Manager Job Analysis

I was born and raised in Waterford, NY, and have lived in the Capital District my entire life. I have been married for 28 years and have 6 children. As an avid sports enthusiast, I have participated and coached competitive sports throughout the years. During the past 34 years I have been involved both personally and professionally in the beer industry. I began working at DeCrescente Distributing Company when it was a small family-run distributor selling less than a million cases per year. Throughout the years I have held numerous positions, including truck driver, sales representative, district manager, and vice president of sales. Each one of these jobs presented me a certain set of skills that over the years have contributed to who I am as a professional today.

I recently started a position as a field sales manager. My primary function is to teach district managers practical and efficient ways to coach and lead their sales force. This helps to establish a more effective sales team. My goal is to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and framework needed to meet and exceed the

I understand trust is crucial in developing positive relationships with customers and co-workers. As the industry grows and changes, we must be able to do the same. Our willingness to learn new things about our jobs, customers, and products will set us apart from our opposition.

Today, sales at DeCrescente Distributing Company exceed 11 million cases a year. In an extremely competitive service industry, my experience allows me to demonstrate a combination of “old school” and “new school” techniques for our sales force. I continue to advocate for providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with both customers and co-workers. These fundamental values are the basis of our success.
