Assessment for this lesson would come from informal observation of students during the group work and a whole class discussion, from assessment of their individual work (worksheets), and from assessment of their homework.

Classroom Management:
Try to interact with all students. Walk around the classroom and assist students who need additional help. Remind students to stay on task. Use encouragements and positive reinforcements to keep students on task.
Attention to Multicultural Issues:
Create time and forum for questions and clarifications (questions pauses). Repeat and clarify important points. Wait longer to let students formulate their responses during a whole class or group discussion. Introduce a word perimeter in different languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian), and put in on the bulletin
