Fertility is the ability to produce children whereas infertility is the inability to produce children or to be able to carry a child to the end of the pregnancy or to delivery. Infertility is a very big problem amongst couples. According to The Columbia Encyclopedia, there are about forty percent of cases of infertility in men that have been reported and forty percent of cases of infertility in women that have been reported as well. There are some cases, about twenty percent, who have unknown causes or there is infertility in both the men and women.
