Felony murder is when an offender commits a crime and during the incident, an innocent bystander is killed during the crime. For instance, it is a foggy night, a policeman officer notices a car park behind a store after normal business hours. The officer calls the tag number in and is told that the car is stolen. The offender comes out the building with boxes and notices the policeman. The offender gets in the car and leads the police on a high-speed chase. Next, the offender gets out of the car and begins to run. In the meantime, another driver comes around the corner without noticing the car because of the fog and hits the vehicle. Because of the impact, the driver dies (Hall, D. 2015).
