My original plans were to get into medical school and become a pediatrician; I love kids, I’ve always had. Although, I only have one younger brother, I come from a big family who gave me lots of younger cousins to take care of. My family was been the most influential in my career path. They have molded me to into the person I am. They have given me so much, as if their unconditional love wasn’t enough, they have taught me how to be respectful and open-minded of other people ideals and cultures, how to be kind, and loyal. I am extremely fortunate to have been born into the family I have. There comes a time when we realized just how much we have and others don’t. My psychology course opened my eyes to that. Not everyone is lucky enough o have a supportive and loving family. I began to question just how much I would actually be able to do as a pediatrician. Sure I would be able to help their physical injuries or illness but it stopped there. I want more than that, I want a relationship with my patients. I want to help someone beyond what I could do at a doctor’s office. If I could help couples and families who have difficulties in their personal relationships, if I could make a real difference in someone life then, I will be truly blessed. I want to be someone important to them. Someone they trust and respectable so they’ll see me as someone who truly
