Caesar was a Roman general who was both respected and seen as a threat by the people. This can be indirectly concluded when Brutus, although loves Caesar, is looking out for Rome as a whole instead of Caesar “Not that I love Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more” (Brutus). He was compassionate towards the poor yet greedy for his own power. He was very intelligent and I believe he could have prevented his death had he been given more time. I think this because Antony suggests to him that he should not be afraid of Cassius “Fear him (Cassius) not, Caesar, he’s not dangerous, / He is a noble Roman and well given” (Antony).
