Fcat: A Case Study

Christina is 10 years old in the 5th Grade. One day she went home crying to her mother because she got her results back from the Fcat. Her score was really low and it can hold her back from moving on to the next grade level. Christina’s mother Sharon was devastated about the news, so she schedule a parent teacher conference to address the issue. In the meeting, Sharon got the news from Christina’s teacher that Fcat is mandatory and there was nothing they can do .The only option is to retake the Fcat and hope that Christina passes. When you think of a social problem you automatically think of drugs, poverty, and unemployment, welfare, healthcare etc. which is a form of social problems. My main focus concerning a social problem is the Fcat.
