Faulty forensics is a vital issue in the United States, and thousand of faulty forensics has been found in the US. Faulty forensics is application of science to criminal case, mainly during criminal investigation, and according to legal standards of inadequate. Forensic expert sometimes are careless with evidence or make up false analysis and wrongfully convict innocent people People that are poor or have bad lawyering are victims of faulty forensics because they don’t have the money to get a good lawyer. Also unless you’re a forensic scientist it would be difficult for you to comprehend.
Jimmy Ray Bromgard was a victim of faulty forensics. The forensic expert testified that the head and pubic hairs found on the sheets were defiantly from Bromgard’s hair samples(Liptak Adam). He testified that there was less than a one in ten thousand chance that the hairs didn't belong to Bromgard(Liptak Adam). The forensics expert testimony was corrupt. In order to prevent faulty forensics, first lawyers should be more knowledgeable of forensic evidence. Lawyers should also take a extra class of forensic science before they qualifying to becoming a lawyer because they will be more educated of forensic science. This will help lawyers know if a forensic expert testimony is factual or false. The Government should be responsible for making sure this happens, because if lawyers understand forensic it will save the state from being sued by exonerated victims.
