Fascism was a Government system practiced by many European Powers. Fascism was brought about by one of the most ruthless dictators of all time. His name was Benito Mussolini. “ Benito Mussolini took power in Italy in 1922. Mussolini’s ideas and practices directly and indirectly influenced political movements in Germany (especially the Nazi Party), Spain (Franco’s Falange Party), France, Argentina, and many other European and Non-European countries right up to present day.”(“A Glossary of political economy terms”) I believe the powers Fascism were abused because many of these leaders like Mussolini had such success and wide spread success because they came in a time of need and these countries had no direction. Fascism is also the complete opposite of communism because Fascist leaders who are dictators believe they should control everything. Communism is a belief in public ownership, which results in an even or equal economy. Communism government ideas that were changed by Karl Marx from the earlier ideas of French Utopian Socialists (“A Glossary of Political Economy Terms”) were meant to create a way foe everyone to work together to create money for the economy. No one would have more money than other and it would create equilibrium in the country. Fascism believes the dictator has total control over business and money and unlike communism is opposed to public ownership. Fascism tried to also force the public into accepting these ideas with propaganda (“A Glossary of Political Economy Terms”) and give them fake hope saying all of the good things fascism would do when in reality they would damage the country. Millions of people were tricked into thinking this form of government was helping when in reality this Dictator would rule over and take away all freedoms from people and treat them as property that he had owned. The One thing communism and Fascism have in common is a Dictator. In todays world communism has been taken down and only exists in Western Europe and is well known in North Korea with their Dictator Kim-Jung ill.
