The unforgiving engine roared as if it ran off imperial power, not petrol. I watched my house dip below the horizon as we darted further and further into the moonlit midnight. Limitless with curiosity, we chased the dim street lamps afoot that would guide us to our eventual destination. As time flew by, so did the miles. I had no clue how anyone could drive in such a state, cigarette smoke tampered with my vision, like a thick, murky fog that allowed me to only recognise faint, fuzzy silhouettes.
