Three obstacles I have had to overcome include me being Caribbean-American, a woman, and of the LGBT+ community. Being a first generation Caribbean-American allows me to overcome many challenges because my parents are both immigrants who came to America to receive a better life not only for themselves, but for me and my sister as well. Being a woman is very hard in America being that we are payed less than men and we have been oppressed periodically throughout history and it is just finally starting to change. Lastly I am a part of the LGBT+ which is a huge complication in its own, because many people think that the community just wanted Same-sex couples to be able to be married, but in so many states many people are discriminated for being…

She was rushed to the hospital in order to survive her attack.…
A famous figure in history once quoted “If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably won’t lead anywhere.” This famous figure’s name was Frank A. Clark. Obviously, a path without hurdles would be everyone’s deepest desire. A path such as this would be seen as a golden sidewalk leading right to the roads of success. A path such as this would be everyone’s wish in the three that they are allowed to have.…
I woke thoroughly, two days after the operation, I could move almost everything except my left arm. My dad came in an hour after they realized I had woken up. My doctor told me that my radial artery cut. However; it would heal on its own. But if the cut had been a two millimeter deeper, the injured artery would have split completely open, and I might never be able to use my hand again.…
