The fabrics that will be put to a test are cotton, linen, silk, polyester, and a fabric with fire retardant. These fabrics will be treated in two separate ways. The experimental group and the control group. The experimental group will be treated with the fabrics softener while the control group will be treated without fabric softeners. Each of the fabric will then be lit up with fire vertically to the fire apparatus for 2 seconds. The fabric would be burned for an additional 3 seconds more. After being on fire for 5 seconds, the fire extinguisher will clear out the fire, then the measurement of fabric that was burned off and that wasn't burned off will be measured and recorded.
