F Represent Degree Fahrenheit

In this week problem, the students are presented with a table with data on altitude and temperature gathered by a weather balloon. The data is in the first column shows the data of the altitude in feet, and the second data shows the air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. Part A asked the students to pretend that they are making a comparable metric table of the data with the same variables. The altitude need to be change into kilometer and the temperature is measured in degree Celsius, what is needed to do to create this table. Part B told the students to use the formula k=0.000305f and

So to convert feet to kilometer, I created a formula with k representing for kilometer and f representing for feet: k=.000305f. To convert the temperature from degree Fahrenheit to degree Celsius, I used the formula C=5/9(F -32). C represent degree Celsius, while F represent degree Fahrenheit. To solve for the kilometer in Part B, I replaced f with 7,000 from the equation k=.000305. To convert 34 degree Fahrenheit to degree Celsius, I replaced 34 to F and solve the equation. I decided that F= 9/5C + 32 can be rewritten to make the conversion easier. To change this literal equation, I went back to Chapter 2 Lesson 8 in the textbook to assist me with the conversion. I solve for C in term of F, and I came up with C=5/9(F -32). To finish chart C, I used the same domain and range from the table in Part A, and convert the altitude from feet into kilometer and the temperature from degree Fahrenheit into degree Celsius. Using the literal equation k=.000305f, and C=5/9(F-32). To find the relationship between the altitude and temperature, I compared the data set’s domain and range
