The fall of Rome was caused by internal conflicts and very few external conflicts. Most of the conflicts dealt with economic problems, military devastation, and many citizens had been excluded from political structure. The Visigoths and other tribes opposed an interesting conflict needing to be dealt with by roman leaders. The massive size of Rome was a problem all together in every aspect and created multiple conflicts. The size made it hard to communicate throughout the empire and created a political problem when it comes to democracy and people trying to voice their opinions about political matters.
