Merriam-Webster (1828) states stewardship is “the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care”. I have read Luke 12 many times, and I feel I understand the meaning of stewardship. I often relate stewardship and a servant of God interchangeable. We are called to be good stewards and servants, showing stewardship to others and personal belongings such as money, assets, spiritual gifts and tangibles. It is our responsibility to be good stewards over these things he has given us, how can God trust us with the big things, if we cannot take care of the little things. Luke 12 reads, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked”
