It has come to my concern and attention that recycling should be mandatory in ISA. Americans make more than 200 million tons of garbage each year due to the garbage outburst that is not recycled. I personally believe that recycling should be mandatory in ISA because the EPA system averages out that 75% of the American waste stream of garbage is only 30% recycled which isn’t even half of it. Therefore ISA should go green and have recycle bins which then the recycled items will be processed to a recycling company.

The average American produces seven to eight lbs of garbage a day which is then sent to the landfill to be buried. Ketaki Misra an associate of recycling has stated that there is an overflow of garbage in landfill. The landfill is supposed to be known for garbage however in today’s society that has changed because it is recycled items mixed with garbage. She has also concluded that the overflow of garbage is harmful to environment because of the harmful, toxic chemicals that are released from the landfill which is known as carcinogen. Carcinogen is a chemical of “life-style” and factors of “diet” and “tobacco”. This harmful chemical has lead to cancer risks. As everyone can see that reducing waste is related to the environment in multiple ways. By recycling you could be saving another human, another life of someone. It is the 5th leading cause of death in the US. Everyone at ISA will succeed to no longer be a cause of the overflow of trash or the harmful chemicals released in the air that will lead to the cause of death of a living organism if everyone tries to recycle.
