Explain Why Dogs Should Be Allowed In The Work Environment

Should dogs be allowed in the work environment? There are two groups in relation to this subject; One group in agreement, the other group saying it shouldn't be allowed.

Dogs being in a work environment could potentially put a delay in a persons work. They would bring their dog to work, and now have two things to focus on throughout their day. I don't believe people would be able to concentrate on their task when they have a pet they're having to also give attention to. This would cause your dog to be priority at work, and not what you're supposed to be doing.

When bringing your dog to work, you have to keep into consideration; Other people will bring their dogs, too. Not every dog gets along, nor is every dog sanitary. They can also get aggressive towards each other, because it's in their nature. These dogs being brought into the work environtment could be infested with fleas, ticks, etc. Fleas do bite people, too.

On another note, dogs need plenty of attention and maintenance. You have to clean up after your dog; You have to feed it, take it for walks, make sure they're not fighting with other dogs, and much more. Dogs also shed their hair, dogs of any sizes. No one wants a bunch of dead hair building up on the floor at work.

This is why I believe we shouldn't be able to have dogs at work. Dogs take maintenance, and that's not something everyone has time for when they're supposed to be doing their job. Dogs belong at home, where they will not get in the way of your
