Explain Why Cells Divide Mitosis And Meios

Decent Essays
We are began as a single cell, but by the time that we are an adult, we have trillion of cells in our body. This happen because our cells are constantly dividing and when they divide they make new cells. A group of cells form a tissue, a tissue form the organ, an organ compound the system of organ and then the individual. We all have this question, why our cells are dividing constantly? Cells divide to replace old or damaged cells, and also living organism can grow and reproduce. There are two ways that cells can divide, mitosis and meiosis. These two methods has their own characteristics.
Mitosis is how somatic cells divide (no reproductive cells). This cells made up most of the body tissues and organs such as the lungs, the skin, muscles

    1. Explain how cells specialize to form specific tissue and organs. Cells specialize to form specific tissue and organs by stem cells being able to develop into every type of cell in the body and eventually recreate a person’s tissues. With organs, after you gather the cells which can be from the patient’s own organs you have to go towards how they grow and specialise. The cells need to be put in the right environment, and exposed to the forces that they would normally experience in the body.…

Mitosis: I take the two identical sister chromatids in each chromosome and divide them to form two new cells with one chromaid each. The original cell is the parent cell that divides to produce the four new daughter cells. The new cells are called haploids which means that they have one set of chromosomes whereas the parent cell is a diploid and has two, one from each parent. One important part is cytokenesis which makes sure that I have a nucleus in each new daughter cell.…

Mitosis is a process of cell division resulting in two genetically identical daughter cells developing from a single parent cell. Meiosis is a type of cell division resulting in the production of sperm or eggs that have half the chromosomes of the parent cell. Mitosis and meiosis are similar in a way that they are both ways in which cells reproduce. Mitosis and Meiosis both occur in humans and animals.…

To create tissues and organs, there are six basic processes that a cell is required to go through. The six processes include: cell division, cell growth, differentiation, migration, apoptosis and cell connections. Cell division is a cell progressing through the cell cycle in order to multiply. Cell growth is a cell using the nutrient and optimal environment to grow in volume. Differentiation is a cell turning into specialized cells due to different gene regulators.…

There are two big categorized cells, stem cells and specialized cells. Our bodies contain many types of specialized cells, and each type of specialized cells functions for different purposes. Examples include eye cells, heart cells, and hair cells. They all develop from stem cells. Stem cells are the cells that have not been differentiated to specialized cells.…

Meiosis is used when the whole organism’s time comes to reproduce. This type of cell division has two divisions, known as Meiosis I and Meiosis II. During Meiosis I, the spindle fibers attach to the kinetochore at the centromeres (OpenStax, 2013). In meiosis, the cell membrane dissolves and the chromosomes separate, which produces four daughter cells. Within this separation, the chromosomes transfer genetic material to each other.…

During Telophase II and Cytokinesis. the cell divides and four new, genetically different cells are formed. Mitosis and meiosis are both ways to reproduce, however mitosis occurs in somatic cells while meiosis occurs in germ cells to create gametes. Both mitosis and meiosis share similar steps during their processes, although their end results are significantly different. Another similarity between the two is that the cell duplicates the genetic information in both mitosis and meiosis.…

Male gonads include testes that aid in the production of sperm, while female gonads include ovaries that produce egg. Both male and female gametes are formed during a process called meiosis. In meiosis, the cells are divided into four separate cells and the DNA is copied once. Over time, the gametes will mature and become haploid cells. During sexual reproduction, a male and female gamete will come together to form a diploid cell called a zygote.…
