Throughout my entire SIP project, many skills were developed. One of the major skill developmental activities was the interview as I had never conducted a formal interview before. My questions went through multiple stages and changed many times, when talking to teachers it became obvious that my original questions were too narrow and didn’t offer the person being interviewed to elaborate on the topic. The majority of my original questions had been questions with a yes or no answers thus meaning they would have been little help in developing my student inquiry project any further. Adaptive Skills: Self-care: Fraidy D. is not a picky eater, eating most foods and textures. She doesn’t use the side of a fork to cut her food since she usually uses a plastic knife instead. Fraidy dresses and undresses alone properly with minimal help or supervision. She chooses clothing that she likes or desires to wear but it isn’t necessarily inclined to the weather but can be appropriate for the occasion. The movie Precious describes the life of a 16-year-old girl who is illiterate, lives in an abusive home, was raped by her father, and thus has one disabled child and is pregnant with her second. Although Precious was in a horrible situation, with the help of her social worker and her alternative school teacher, Precious escaped from her house and started a new life of her own.
