• The legislative branch has two house and they are the senate and the house of representative. The houses of senate consist of 100 senators and only two senators are assigned to each state. The senators serve a term of six years and they are elected by their state. The senate approves the nominations that are made by the president to the Supreme Court, federal court and the cabinet. Direct democracy is when people participate in decision making. Direct democracy normally takes place in a town meeting for example. They will decide on what laws should be passed in their city. A representative democracy is when individuals vote for a government official to represent them on their behalf. The representative democracy normally regulate/process for citizens. For example, we can elect an official that have a good training and experience when it comes to good education.
