Explain The Structure Of The Taste Receptors Cell

The structure of the taste receptors cell is related to its function of identifying tastes. The cell’s organelles include an endoplasmic reticulum, a nucleus, and many vesicles. A cell membrane is also present and allows the proper nutrients, not harmful ones, to enter the cell and be identified. The endoplasmic reticulum controls the activity within the cell in relation to calcium. It sorts through all the calcium in the cell which is an extremely important job in the cell. The vesicles are there to actually transport the ions and nutrients throughout the cell. Since the taste receptor cell experience many things at once, it is important for the cell to have many vesicles to regulate and transport all of the things coming in.
