One of the natural conditions that animals struggle is with surviving freezing cold, but whether is freezing or hot, animals always find the way to survive. One way to survive is to migrate; animals can relocate to one area with more heat along with more food. Some animals remain and stay active in the winter. They must adapt to the changing weather. Many others make changes in their body behavior. One important reason that animals could be better survivors in cold weather is because of their blood, warm blooded animals need to maintain a constant body temperature or they would suffer dire consequences. On the other hand, some big animals can adapt on cold weather and also survive. Some animals that can live on the cold weather are the marine mammals; Whales and dolphins are marine mammals that live in cold water; they can generate their own heat and maintain a stable body temperature despite environmental conditions, these are warm blooded animals. Another example of big animals that are adapted to cold weather are penguins, they can go from 36 to 44 inches and they can easily survive in cold, they lived in the southern hemisphere. These animals are big and they can go to freezing underwater to catch their food. Another animal are seals, they benefit not only from their weight but having thick under and overcoats that they shed once a year. Seals are protected from the cold by a thick layer of blubber combined with a tick fur coat. Another animal resistant to cold weather is the polar bear; this animal it has its protection from his thick fur and because of its large and heavy body. The polar bears are very good swimmers in cold water. Also, when they swim long distances they cover most of the distance floating on ice. It certainly helps to be big and
