I am a big fan of chips, snacks and processed foods, especially In n' Out hamburgers. I am fully aware that when food is processed, it becomes less healthy. However, I still consume them because they are convenient, last long and taste good. Unfortunately, processed foods are usually loaded with added sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup. It is well known that sugar, when consumed in excess, is seriously harmful. Sugars provide empty ''calories'', meaning that, although they supply energy, they don't supply any of the vitamins, minerals, and fiber needed in the diet. High sugar consumption can lead to heart disease, diabetes, obesity and even cancer.
By reduce my intake of processed foods, I can lower the risk of having a heart attack, rising my LDL levels (bad cholesterol), developing acne and gaining weights. I still can consume healthy sugars that are found in fruits, vegetables, and dairy as a compound known as fructose or lactose. These healthy sugars are relatively harmless and necessary for our bodies to function.
2) Eat more vegetables and fruits.

Also, most fruits and vegetables are low in energy and are filling, which may help me in maintaining a healthy weight. In addition, eating a range of fruits and vegetables provides antioxidants, which work together to protect my body. The last but not least healthy reason for me to make this change is to slowly replace my processed-food-snack habit with fruits and vegetables. If I gradually include fruits/vegetables to my snack, I can intake less unhealthy foods and therefore, create a more balanced
