I chose to change the inclination to a 75-degree angle for the third lab assignment. If I were a bird researcher studying a population of birds and the earth began to shift to a 75-degree inclination, the biggest change would be a rise in temperature at the latitude marked with the white “X”. At the original 35-degree inclination, the average temps for early spring are mild and as the months continue into summer; the average daily temperatures do not go above what is described as mild and a half. If a gradual shift began towards a 75-degree inclination, you would begin to see a rise in the temperatures for this region. In the early spring, you might still find mild temperatures but as the spring progresses into summer, the temperatures…

I plan to change my behavior by resolving to eat significantly less sugar than I currently do. On Lab 1.2, my nutrition score was two out of ten (2/10). I eat few fruits and vegetables, I never consider how many saturated or trans fats I consume and I eat copious amounts of sugar on a daily basis. The only reason I achieved a score of two is because I rarely skip meals, preferring to eat continuously. Despite these bad habits, I am not overweight.…

Introduction Evolution is the process in which organisms change from one generation to the next over a period of time. The Hardy-Weinberg equation is one of the most popular ways to determine if a certain trait within a population is changing. The Hardy-Weinberg equation provides a null-hypothesis to compare to the observation of the population. One can predict the outcome of the estimated amount of offspring in a population by using two alleles to determine which will be present in future generations. This equation uses a Punnet Square that makes a mathematical format to interpret the information.…

Because the experiment takes place in a laboratory, Baumrind argues that participants will not act how they might in the real world. She states that the laboratory is an unaccustomed setting for a typical being and may cause anxiety and passivity (225). Correspondingly, Saul Mcleod, a psychologist who summarizes and critiques Milgram’s experiment, states that the “important” location of the experiment, obedience levels increased (Simply Psychology). The point about setting is one in which Baumrind and Parker are able to reach a consensus.…
