The reading assignments from the textbook, Functional Behavioral Assessment and Function-Based Intervention: An Effective, Practical Approach by Umbreit, Ferro, Liaupsin, and Lane (2007) taught me how to design, evaluate, and implement a functional behavioral assessment and a function-based intervention. My weekly project assignments provided me with valuable exercises to demonstrate my knowledge and skills related to learning environments. I learned how to record, define, and analyze behavior; plan to provide positive behavioral supports; assess a problem behavior with antecedent not conforming to effective practice and consequence maintaining the target behavior, and complete the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and the Behavior Intervention Plan
