Besides those reasons, Romeo is additionally to blame for the deaths of himself and Juliet because he did not take anyones advice about his relationship with Juliet and he physically committed suicide which caused Juliet to kill herself for him. By not taking suggestions from anyone about his relationship with Juliet, Romeo ultimately doomed himself and his newlywed. Just one example of Romeo’s disobedience is towards Friar Laurence before he marries Juliet. Romeo wants Friar to be the one to wed him and Juliet. When he tells Friar about meeting Juliet at the Capulet party and wanting to marry her, Friar says, “Not in a grave/ To lay one in, another to have” and Romeo responds, “I pray thee, chide not. Following this idea, Romeo committed suicide without being patient or thinking, as he does with most everything, which obviously ended his own life and made Juliet take her own as well by stabbing herself shortly after seeing Romeo dead by poison.
