Capella University Inter-Professional Collaboration Team Assignment The term “inter-professional collaboration” is used by many healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to refer to the interrelation among their duties and responsibilities, that ensures effective and efficient healthcare delivery (Nancarrow & Roots, 2013). These limitations are mostly organizational. To begin with, there may not be adequate awareness and appreciation among the team members of the roles of individual health professionals. The members of the team may be required to make presentations to senior decision makers making the process of problem-solving a monitorable task (Nancarrow & Roots, 2013). The collaborative process involving many professionals may not be a rewarding one due to financial constraints. There may be legal issues like professionals working within or beyond their professional capabilities. Once each member is able to clearly understand his or her role and those of the other members, the inter-dependency improved the overall team performance (Bankston & Glazer, 2013). Further, if there exists a baseline where each and every member of the team knows what is required of them and when, that is a definite sign of success. The quantum and quality of the success may vary, however, based on what the inter-professional team was created for (Nancarrow & Roots, 2013). If it is to treat the patients, the restoration of their health is fundamental to the team’s success. If it is for research purposes, a successful invention will form the basis for the success of the team. In conclusion, a positive outcome to a troubling issue is the best any team can
