There are sixteen children in the classroom and there are eight boys and eight girls.

There is one classroom aide in my classroom throughout the day to assist me with my daily routines and activities. There is also another classroom aide that comes in at 3:30 PM after I leave at the end of the day.
How much time is devoted to specific subjects during the day? Subjects should include ELA and Math, but also science, social studies, art and physical development – do not forget nature and outside time.
We have a classroom schedule that we use as a loose guideline for our activities, but we are flexible if an activity needs more time. Students arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM and they are picked up between 3:00 PM and 4:45 PM. A classroom schedule is included below. It is important to note that much of the students learning in special subjects will be done through free play and outdoor time, where they will have access to materials pertaining to these topics.

If you do, how are the groups determined?
The students are grouped by ability, which is determined through observations and portfolio assessments. The students are in diverse ability groupings at each of their tables during specific learning activities. Students that are high achieving are sat with those who are have difficulty in certain areas, so that they are able to teach and learn from each other.
What other resources do you have? These can include media equipment, hands on materials, online resources, ect…
Our classroom has a SMART board and the teacher has a laptop that is connected to it. We also have access to a wide variety of supplies including art and science materials.
Are there any children with special needs, and how are these needs met within the classroom?
There are no students with documented special needs in the classroom, but each student's behavior and performance is observed and documented. The teacher and classroom aide meet often to discuss how to meet the needs of each student and how to differentiate instruction for these
