One example of a time where I thought there was an issue in Midsummer Night’s Dream, was when Egeus was forcing Hermia to marry Demetrius, even when she had clearly told him that she wanted to marry Lysander. The fact that Hermia would rather die, and the fact that her father would let her die, just over a husband! It’s simply outrageous! This shows gender inequality because the women back then weren't allowed to choose who they wanted to marry
