The student is not practice Veracity on her professional conduct. And may result in delay treatment or patient condition deteriorated. This is not beneficence to the patient.
In the clinical simulation in nursing journal, the research had stated in the classrooms education when students face this kind of Ethical dilemma situation due to their inexperience in work and lack of personal experience they might not be able have the ability to recognise the potential ethical issues, and proper or effective communication with patient and make a right moral decisions. Studies have shown that this is a common dilemma between patient confidentiality and nonmaleficence to the patient.

Apply what they learn from the classroom, using her paternalism view, one of the direction approach is provide health education related to the disease process, create the health awareness to the patient, this is can beneficence and empower the patient by providing information in patient decision making, this giving him autonomy.
The other option student may involve the family in respect to patient autonomy. Patient may willing to share his concern and worries with his family, on the handle family members may felt respect and be aware of the patient condition, be prepared or anticipated the outcome. This may given patient more willing to accept other option or helps, this is definitely beneficence to his current situation.
Another option student nurse may seek senior nurse advise, as the senior nurse may have more experienced, the senior able to provide her paternalism view. Student can provide anonymous information without disclose the detail of the patient. So student can still keep the respect to the patient. Even she is seem to not apply Fidelity in this
