Abstract
Does the abstract mention the hypothesis or purpose of the study, a summary of study design, and the main findings of the study?
The article has direct abstract. Instead, a background of the study explains the need and the purpose for the study. Therefore, the background suggests that the theme of the paper is to establish the importance of lifestyle activities to the health of a person. There is no hypothesis, though an overview of the conclusion suggests the objective of the study is to establish a connection between healthy lifestyles and reduction of related diseases.

They were selected from specific areas and sapling was random. Though there is no detail of the recruitment, the paper suggests that the main consideration was where the subjects lived, their occupation, their commuting distance (people who worked from home were mot selected) and a willingness to participate in the study.
6. Report on exclusion/inclusion criteria for participants in the study and the extent of non-response
Subjects were excluded if their commuter distance could not be measured objectively. For example, people working from home occasionally take walks. However, the frequency of the walks and actual distances cannot be determined objectively. Therefore, they were excluded from the study. In addition, transgendered respondents and pregnant women were excluded.

What would you add or say differently?
The conclusion is valid because it is derived from collected data. The methods of collection account for all factors that may have produces differences in the subjects. Therefore, the comprehensive nature of study makes it difficult to refute the conclusions.
Did they address any problems in their research, exploring how they might do things differently next time? (e.g., do they discuss limitations?)
The study identified the role of attitudes in influencing the effects of active commuting. It suggest that the role of attitudes is an area that can be subjected for future study.
Do they consider what future research might be done to further answer the question?
No. the study is focused on drawing its conclusions and establishing connections with other studies.
Overall assessment of the article
The article is very enlightening. It evaluates a very important issue in US healthcare in contemporary times and shows the role of policies and attitudes in reducing the risks of lifestyle diseases with minimum effort.
