Some advantages to McDonalds are, that its fast, easy to pick up if your in a hurry, you know what you are going to get, the modern society is fast so McDonalds fits in with the modern society, if you are to go to another country they have McDonalds there and you are familiar with it, and it is also cheap. Some disadvantages are its unhealthy, you do not get great customer service, it can become addictive, low quality of foods, and the food is not made out of what you are thinking you are eating. Bookies advantages are, you get customer service, the food is homemade, you have options of healthy foods, you do not have to clean up after yourself, and its not rushed. The McDonalized establishment is irrational in three different ways. Inefficiency, the illusion of fun, and health and environmental hazards. Some things that are not efficient for customers are, sometimes it gets to busy, its somewhat handicap accessible but it could be better. When you walk through the door there is not enough space to get to the other door. McDonalds has a few things that portray illusion of fun. They have the play centers where kids can go play and parents can sit and eat. McDonalds also has prizes in the kid’s meal. McDonalds food is very unhealthy. It can make people extremely obese. All the grease and frying they do to the food is a health hazard. All the grease they use and all the chemicals they use for the food are not good for the environment.

Cooking food is also getting faster. It does not take them a long time to cook with all the advancements in equipment. These restaurants try to resist it by keeping tradition in place. Letting people be able to enjoy a meal and have a conversation. They make it easier for customers to enjoy their meal by bringing everything to
