The McConnell Unit administration pursuant to Executive Directive 02.3 initiated an investigation sequel to complaint (OCT#16-6387-02) initiated by Sheila Colvin, wife to Offender Sean Colvin TDCJ # 02012834. In her originating complaint, Ms Colvin had expressed concern over the inability of her husband to make special purchases in the commissary. She alleged that on March 2, 2017 her husband had turned in a blue slip for Radio and hot pot. According to her, On April 28 2017 Officer Bustos came by her husband’s cell and told him that his blue slip was approved. She also stated that since then, her husband has not heard anything from anybody on the status of her his request.

On July 26, 2017 Offender Colvin was interviewed to get an insight into his wife’s allegation and he provided a statement in that regard. In his statement, Offender Colvin corroborated the allegation made by his wife and further stated that several I-60s he sent out was allegedly ignored hence his wife took this option to see if there will be a remedy.
