Case Management
Health index indicates that many individuals in the country lack availability and accessibility of resources & benefits in order to meet their basic needs along with making their life productive. There is a need of certain systems of care with adequate trained personal who will take over the charge of effective persistent like violation, poverty, lack of opportunities, health care facilities, and untreated mental illness. As a profession the social work is dedicated in helping individuals, family and communities for their best possible lives (NASW, 2006).

A program was proposed for National Action to Combat Mental Retardation, later on is came to known as case management.

Components of Case Management
Case management focuses on the availability of services, its accessibility, responsiveness, continuity, co-ordination, advocacy, and accountability. It is useful when the client is having multiple numbers of problem and is unable to locate its needs, thus services is provided by the multiple service providers on an ongoing basis (Caragonne, 1984). There are three key components of case management, accountability, accessibility, and co-ordination.
