It is a wide spread phenomena that most men under think things while women over think just about everything. This theory is present in both of these diaries. In Adams diary he is very pragmatic and just sees Eve’s actions as reckless and unwarranted. His lack of imagination and descriptive analysis leads the reader to assume that his thoughts are superficial and only see things at a surface level, which corresponds to the idea that men aren’t overly emotional and accept things for what they are at their surface level. Whereas Eve’s imagination and wonder are intertwined with her descriptive analysis of the animals and the Earth allows the inference that she is a character with depth and emotion. At the end of her account she describes Adam and follows this description with her reason for loving him “he is mine and is masculine”(Eve 22). Eve actually goes as far as to show why she feels the way she does which reflects her complex thought process, corresponding with the phenomena that women overthink most
