Paper 2: Ethical Decision Making
Ethical decision making proves crucial in business, and especially in the accounting business. “Unethical decisions harm the decision makers themselves as well as others, whereas ethical decisions have the opposite effect” (Woiceshyn, 2011, p. 311). Therefore, in the best interest of the company, and the individuals involved in the company, decisions should be ethical. However, most people view ethics as a subjective matter, with many claiming that what may be wrong for one person may not be wrong for another. For this reason, it remains important for a company/business to have an ethical decision-making structure in place, in order to ensure sound and ethical decisions.
