Ethan is an 11 yo male who has prolonged Qtc which was diagnosed yesterday after having mild concussion. Family history is negative apart of great maternal uncle who passed away during sleeping at age of 40s. His mother QTc (by today EKG) is borderline prolonged. Prolonged QTc in Ethan's case may be inherited or may be aresult of concussion. Other possible cause ( which are not supported by his history) are taking certain medications, lectrolyte abnormalities, and other medical conditions. At this point, the definitive underlying cause of his prolonged Qtc is not clear. Therefore, we would like to repeat his EKg in 1 week, ordering cardiopulmonary exercise test to illustrate his QTc responde to excercissing and possibly referral for genetic
