Chuck, Yesterday Electrocon received a request from Jacob Lien of Ulteig for support in conjunction with work being done for Rochester Public Utilities. In reviewing your account, we believe there may be a violation of the CAPE license agreement occurring regarding the use of your CAPE license by a third-party. Your agreement does not allow your non-employee consultants to use CAPE outside your own premises. If Jacob is working at your office, there is no violation. If he is working outside of your facility, then Ulteig will need to acquire their own license for CAPE or Rochester Public Utilities will need to add Consulting Rights to your maintenance agreement.…

Contracts For our business, Karma Kaffeine, we will need to implement several contracts. For instance, we will be required to form a lease contract when we decide to rent out property for our business. The leasehold interest we will engage in is Periodic Tenancy, which is the automatic renewal of the contract for another rental period unless formally and properly terminated (Holcomb, 2015). Our business has chosen to rent property because it will save us money if we are required to change locations due to unforeseen circumstances. In addition to forming a lease contract, we will need to form contracts with our suppliers and distributors to ensure our products will be delivered promptly.…

David, Pursuant to our conversation yesterday I delved into my file relating to the disputed amount. My findings are below. Any deductions made against trucking invoices already paid were deducted in good faith. PFSL admitted to miscalculations in fuel surcharge and monitoring days and we took deductions accordingly. PFSL elected to choose return times for empty containers beyond industry standard and reasonably expected return times and as such we took chassis charge deductions accordingly.…

In order to be able to make a sound and justified decision, I will fully disclose the situation, the events that have taken place, and my assumptions before elaborating the decision I would take as a Chief Executive Officer of the company involved. My domestic sensor company is facing increasing demand, working capital limitations, and restricted manufacturing output at the beginning of the year 2011. The Vice President of Production recommends expanding capacity of our offshore location for the following reasons: increasing demand in certain regions, rising shipping costs which make it more profitable to produce overseas instead of domestically, and the offshore location has lower labor and material costs.…

Charleston, South Carolina, the jewel of the south. A town that time has yet to permeate, where horse drawn carriages still serve as a mode of transportation, resulting in over 4.5 million visitors every year (“In Charleston, S.C., Resistance to Cruise Ships”). At one point those horse drawn carriages would have toted around rich white slave owners, today they tote around any paying customer. Charleston has used its charm to intrigue the world for decades, that's why for the past four years “Travel + Leisure (2014) has named the city a leading travel destination in the U.S. and Canada, and for the second conservative year, the city was ranked first in magazine’s poll” (William). In result to Charleston increasing popularity over the years,…

Kathryn, as a new store manager, needs to gain the confidence and trust of her department heads and sales associates. Part of accomplishing this task is by providing her employees the opportunity to communicate with her through an open-door policy when it comes to questions or concerns with tasks. Kathryn also needs to become better acquainted with the employees and, to me, the best way is to be on the sales floor and participate in day to day operations. The purpose of this is two-fold: showing her employees she is approachable and that she is knowledgeable of stores products and practices. To enhance and reinforce the lines of communication, store meetings should be scheduled.…

The nurse was only following the rules and the instructions his boss gave her. The patient was not under his arrest so he didn’t have his consent to take his blood considering he was unconscious. The other ruler she was trying to respect was “Safeguard the patient’s dignity, the right to privacy and the confidentiality of patient information(Nursing Conduct in Pennsylvania).” This act protects the patient from any harm being done to him without his say so.…

The current study was a longitudinal study that assessed data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS). I chose the HRS data because it includes participants that are over the age of 50 and their health status. Age is generally important to the current study because strokes typically occur in older age (Dries & Hussein, 2015). The HRS study began in 1992 and consisted of 12,652 participants that were eligible for interviews and had a response rate of 81.6% (Health and Retirement Study, 2015). This study surveyed individuals over five separate waves, with the last wave consisting of participants that were born between 1948 and 1953 (Health and Retirement Study, 2015).…

Determining the strength of a nursing research study is a critical process that enhances the implementation of evidence-based practice. Determining the strength of a nursing research study ensures that the empirical knowledge developed through nursing research is useful in improving nursing care, the system of healthcare delivery, and patient outcomes. Additionally, nurses should use research findings when making clinical decisions on the best practice to use in order to deliver healthcare services that ensure all the patients receive safe and quality care (Melnyk et al. 2014). Therefore, determining the strength of a nursing research study helps to ensure the evidence is credible (valid and reliable) and is appropriate if incorporated into clinical practice.…

The purpose of this post is to describe the role of nurse leaders in promoting evidence based practice. I will describe strategies used for implementation of change in evidence based practice; discuss the influences that are changing health care culture including current issues and trends, and compare the nursing work group culture with other organizational cultures. An important part of the nursing leader role is to influence the culture and climate in the department (Huber, 2014). Nurse leaders must have an accurate understanding of the culture and climate of their unit to be able to implement change effectively. A leader needs to create a vision that encourages and inspires nurses to take part in the evidence based change.…
