The morning of next Jacs was at a constant quiver, not due to the cold but the fear of battle. Jacques unit was led to the border between the two Empires. Although it was morning, it still felt like night in the darkness of the sky and Jacs had little to no sleep to keep his frightened eyes alert and aware. The ground was cold and no green was to be seen but light there was from the burning woody smelling fires around them.
