We have seen outraged individuals yelling at people who have spoken their native tongues to family and/or friends. The common line is, “Speak English, you're in America” or “Why don't you go back to whatever you came from, we speak English here”. These comments are always targeted at our people who minds their business and is being insulted from people who believe they're higher in power. English is not the official language, although it's the native language, according to Kaitlyn skye hipple on “Why The United States Does Not Have An Official Language”. There should not no official language for the U.S, therefore it shouldn't matter. First, the US is made of many people from different places, backgrounds, and religions. It’s a country of immigrants and it’s not native to it’s Europeans. By choosing to have english as the official language we are using what we know and feel as what is “America”. Teaching children a early age about another language is beneficial, they have brains like a sponge, as soon as they learn something it stays. As we say “Children are the future”, with that mindset giving a child the ability to speak more than one language will make a difference. Bilingualism has been shown to have many social and lifestyle advantages. Who would a person hire, a person who only knows English or a person who's bilingual?
