What can be learned about humanity from the Holocaust ? The main lesson about humanity that can be learned from the Holocaust is that every person has an obligation to stop an atrocity. During the Holocaust countries came to the aid of the Jewish people, knowing about the genocide that was taking place made them want to intervene. But besides the good, another thing can be learned about humanity through the Holocaust, and that is that when government is given absolute power over its citizens with no legal or social framework to protect them, then genocide is going to occur and the person giving the orders will be listened to.

It is easy to see that us as humans not only look for a leader but a voice of power as well. Once we have our leader what they say will go, good or bad. Because we do not know any better we will listen and follow the rules we are taught.
