The mind is such complex concept that for some to believe that they could pin point the location of the soul, in my opinion is rather obscured. The soul is who someone is, and separating the two would be the separation of who the individual would be. There would be no opinions thought and possible any sense of what is going on in the world. That would also bring to question if these people could function as human beings and have empathy for others just as much as people with a “soul” would have. Also, what would be the purpose of this drug? Why would someone want to disconnect themselves of who they are and what, in my opinion makes them who they are. If there would be such possibility then the person would be an aimless body, or in other words a robot. The whole purpose of someone to be alive is for them to be able to live human experiences: either it being sadness, love, romance, amongst others things that we have experienced and are yet to experience. If some one is deprived from this then they ultimately bring to question what is there purpose in life. It also brings to question that would participate in this types of experimental drug? What happens when the soul is retrieved from the body and for some reason in the future, the person wants their soul back? Could they grant the person the wish of giving them back their soul or is it gone forever once they choose to take the drug and separate themselves from it?
