What's the purpose and aims of Stoptober?
Stoptober is an England wide campaign and the whole purpose of it is to try and get people to quit smoking the event starts on the 1st of October and lasts 28 days. This campaign is being supported all over the country by NHS stop smoking services, local authorities, pharmacies and retailers.

It is also to raise money for the campaign for new research on better and more effective medicines and ways to help overcome it. In November for the whole of the month men will grow their beards out instead of shaving them and will get sponsored by people and the money that is earned at the end of it will go towards the campaign to help with research for the four main areas.
THINK! provides road safety information for drivers such as speed limits, alcohol limits in driving, drug driving and much more. Their aim is to encourage safer behaviour to reduce the number of people killed and injured on roads every year.
