An FBI report by Mary Ellen O’Toole in 1999 provided details on the motivation and ways through which schools can be able to perform threat assessments (Jonathan, 2015). Two major findings summarized possible threats that often lead to the school gun shooting. Most gun shootings have resulted to more than one student being killed because of poor response from police during such incidences (Shafii & Shafii, 2008). This happens due to the location of police stations and departments which needs time before they can arrive at the shooting scenes, by that time already many students and staff would have fallen victims to the bullets.
