The Human Resource Sergeant role in The Profession of Arms is very important because that is what our job calls us to do; to be a professional. In the Human Resource world we deal with a lot of actions, a lot of requirements and a lot of customers with different characters. Being a professional in the Human Resource includes keeping military baring at all cost no matter what the situation presents itself. Sometimes you will have costumers that are understanding and patient, but other times you will have customers who challenge your authority and knowledge. It is very easy to get out of character, but choosing not too is one of the many reasons that makes you a professional.

Our soldiers deserve nothing but the best from us we want them to reflect who we are as a leader and as a professional. The way we carry ourselves, the way we treat others, and the way we do our jobs, should always reflect those standards at all time.
Also we can’t forget that professions of arms comes before our profession because we are American Soldiers, we must at all time be prepared to go to war and perform our skills in all areas. As important it is to expand our knowledge and better our self in HR, we must also do that in combat. We must stay physically and mentally healthy for anything. Our soldiers must see that we are capable of being a professional in the office and out in the field. We as leaders are responsible for showing that. We must take pride in our profession and be willing to make sacrifices not only as a Human Resource Sergeant, but also as an American Soldier. Be prepared to kill and be prepared to
