Ozone Therapy
The gas Ozone (O₃) is considered to be a controversial gas due to its oxidant properties. Some chemists claim that the ozone gas mixture is toxic, whereas others state that it is useful and effective when used in certain situations such as treating degenerative disease. Ozone therapy has been used effectively in medical practices through nine methods that are:
1. Intramuscular injections:
A small amount of an ozone and oxygen mixture are injected into the patient. It is used to treat allergies and inflammatory diseases. They are sometimes utilized as an adjunct to cancer therapies in Europe.
2. Direct intra-arterial and intravenous application:
A mixture of ozone and oxygen is slowly injected into an artery or vein with a hypodermic syringe. This method is used mainly for arterial circulatory disorders.
3. Rectal insufflations:
A mixture of ozone and oxygen is launched through the rectum and absorbed into the body through the intestine. A very safe method used for a wide variety of health problems. Later, the blood is treated with ozone and oxygen, and injected back to the patient with an intramuscular injection. Major Autohaemotherapy is the removal of between 50-100 ml of the patient’s blood. Ozone and oxygen are then bubbled into the blood for several minutes, and then the ozonated blood is returned to a vein.
