Essay On National Honor Society

Why should I be conducted into the National Honor Society? I strongly believe I should be inducted because I have fulfilled my duties as a student, leader, and follower of good character. Including everyone and listening to everyone’s ideas while still being your own person is something that is very important to me and is a main value of a being known as a leader. Portraying all of these standards of character is so important; it’s your own way of showing the world who you really are. Character is what distinguishes one person from another. I personally strive day after day to make the right choices. One of the largest standards to me would be respect, without some forms of respect this world would be a very terrible place. Some different things I like to spend my time volunteering with would be the NEIA Dog and Car wash everywhere, a vacation bible school teacher, fundraisers with church, and any other extra things that need help around our community. My leadership skills are mostly shown in different classes and in cheerleading. For cheerleading I was chosen by our coach to be a captain, and as a junior that is a huge honor! By being the captain I have learned many things about being a leader including listening skills. In different classes with group work I normally take the role as the leader of the group. Those are a few reasons I stand out from other students as a great leader. Overall I believe everything I have worked hard for throughout my high school career thus far will really show how and why I should be conducted into the National Honor Society. I am so thankful and honored to have qualified for the chance to be conducted into the National Honor Society.
