1. Introduction
For my holiday, really I had nothing planned. Both my parents were still working therefore I never went away. But, I truly never realised I could travel to millions of places with just, a book.
2. My Holiday
My holiday started with, none other than, the One Direction concert on the Saturday. It was all very exciting, and if I may add the excitement was beginning to become unbearable.
a. One Direction
The 28th of March, was they day of the One Direction concert. My day started off with my friend arriving at 9 o’clock in the morning. At about 12 o’clock we left the house and headed towards Silver Star. We had lunch at the steak restaurant and then we jumped on the busses that took us to the FNB Stadium. Many journeys travelled.
Although, I did not do much this holiday, I did have the great companionship of a book. With this tattooed paper, I was able to travel many places, meet new friends, and experience many emotions. No, I did not go to New York physically but, I did using mind power and a book. I read Looking for Alaska by John Green and Listen to the moon my Michael Morporgo.
c. Friends
Lucky, Xanthe did not go away on holiday either, so we got together twice through the holiday. Mostly what these get together consisted of was Mamma Mia movies, music, selfies and a lot of laughter. The other time we got together, was to watch Insurgent with Megan and Bridie as well. We ate McDonalds and enjoyed the movie. It was a great one if you are wondering.
d. Mamma Mia
On the 12th of April, I went with my mother, grandmother, aunt and my two cousins, (Kaitlyn and Ashleigh Reabow) To Monte casino to go watch Mamma Mia at the Teatro. It was a great performance with international cast, a brilliant orchestra, and if I had to rate it, I would say it was a five star performance, a must …show more content…
On the 14th of April 2015, my braces were removed at exactly 8:40 in the morning. It is such a relief to be able to eat popcorn, toffees and biltong. I can even bite into an apple without hurting myself or breaking the brackets. I feel now I can smile more, and I do not have to be afraid of people laughing at the metal tracks on my teeth. Although now I have to wear a retainer, so my teeth do not go skew again. For the first week I have to wear it 24\7 unless I am eating or drinking of course. For the second week, in the afternoons after school and at nights, once again with the exception of eating or drinking. Then for the third week, and for the rest of the year only in the evening. For the second year after removal of braces, every second night. I do not feel at all like the retainers are a problem, as long as they keep my teeth straight, without me having to wear braces I am all for it.
3. Conclusion
I have to admit, this holiday of mine was not the most exciting of the lot, I enjoyed it all the while from start to finish. From the last day of school to the One Direction concert, to meeting up with friends, watching Insurgent at Cradle stone, Mamma Mia at Monte casino, and finally, my braces being removed. It was well, a great two weeks of pure relaxation. I cannot wait for the next
