Ever since I was a little boy I always wanted to become a law enforcement officer. What influenced me of becoming a law enforcement is that I remembered watching a lot of TV shows. Like an example, I remembered I used to see episodes of the FBI files from Discovery Channel. From there I decided that I wanted to be that person of either becoming a police man, Sheriff, or a State Trooper. As I grew up and graduated from elementary to high school, I decided to go to college to get into policing but first I realized that I needed to do some research before getting into those type of jobs. The sheriff is almost similar to a police officer but maintains the court and jails in order. They also go to a suspects house when he or she fails to report at court and gets arrested as well. A sheriff could even patrol a high way and other bigger areas depending what deparments they are at. At larger cities deputy’s could maintain and serve papers at court as well. As their salary is $55,270 for each year. Lastly, I have done a research career book and other articles on state troopers. What I found out about them is that they do the similar duties as a sheriff does. Like their duty is to patrol the highways and do many paper work as well. Also in some states like Alaska they do patrolling by protecting the wildlife resources by poachers just like game wardens do. Their salary are the same as a sheriff’s payment of $55,270 for each year. My final point, is that being a police officer is not easy for anybody because many could suffer stress disorder. As an example, they could get traumatause by encountering a dead body of how the victim was brutally killed. They can even get hurt or killed during a shoot out.
